GENEVA, N.Y.—The 22nd-ranked Hobart College squash team defeated 20th-ranked Colby College 6-3 at the Smith Squash Center. The Statesmen conclude their regular season with an 8-8 overall record.

MATCH MOMENTS
- Hussein Labib defeated Adrian Castillo, 11-8, 11-5, 11-3, at No. 3. Labib is now 8-7 on the year, playing all 15 matches in the No. 3 spot.
- At No. 6, Roberto Vega swept Syed Haseeb Kashef, 11-9, 11-6. It was Vega's seventh win of the season.
- James Mazzarelli cruised past Kit Illick, 13-11, 11-6, 11-2, at No. 8. Mazzarelli is 8-5 on the season.
- Joseph Raskin Lantos collected his ninth win of the season at No. 4. He beat Jonathan Sosa, 11-8, 9-11, 11-8, 11-5.
- Javier De La Vega edged Sen Subramaniam, 14-12, 3-11, 11-3, 5-11, 11-2, at No. 5. It was De La Vega's seventh victory of the year.
- At. No. 1, Omar Kiwan defeated Youssif Mostafa, 11-3, 9-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-4. Kiwan leads the Statesmen this season with 11 wins. He is 11-5 overall this season with a 2-1 mark in the No. 1 spot.
- Giacomo Dalle Molle, who was playing in his final match at the Smith Squash Center, dropped a hard-fought match to Rintaro Yamamoto, 13-11, 11-9, 9-11, 5-11, 6-11, at No. 9.
UP NEXT
Hobart will be back in action next weekend, Feb. 4-5, for the 2023 Liberty League Men's Squash Tournament. The Statesmen are scheduled to face Bard and St. Lawrence on Saturday afternoon.
