With a winter storm forecasted to dump up to a foot of snow on Geneva Friday into Saturday, the lacrosse game between No. 9 William Smith College and No. 14 SUNY Cortland has been moved from Boswell Field at Urick Stadium to Stiles Field in the Poole Family Dome. The opening draw is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4.
Â
Capacity of the Poole Family Dome is limited by fire code, so there will be no general admission to Saturday's game. Spectators will be limited to people on the teams' official pass lists.
Â
The game will be broadcast live on
WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva). Fans can watch the contest on
HWS All-Access and track the action with

Â
The Herons opened their season last Saturday with a 14-9 win over No. 18 Catholic. Senior
Maddie Montgomery led the offense with a game-high six points on two goals and four assists. At the other end of the field, sophomore
Maura Smeader made 11 saves to earn the win in goal.
Â
The Red Dragons played their season opener yesterday, defeating No. 10 Ithaca 9-8. Toni Cashman scored the game-winning goal with just over four minutes remaining. Goalie Margaret Morgan turned away the only shot the Bombers were able to muster down the stretch to preserve the lead.
Â
Saturday will be the 47th meeting between William Smith and Cortland with the series deadlocked at 23-23. The team's last squared off in 2016 when the Red Dragons left Geneva with a 14-6 victory.
