#3 Herons to face #9 Gettysburg in national semifinals

The third-ranked William Smith College lacrosse team will be be back in action on Friday, May 26, when it takes on ninth-ranked Gettysburg College in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse national semifinals at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Virginia. The opening draw is scheduled for 3 p.m.
 
The Herons enter the weekend with a 21-0 overall record and are coming off a 14-4 victory over fifth-ranked Tufts las weekend. The Bullets are 18-4 and defeated 10th-ranked York 17-8 on Sunday.
 
Tickets will cost $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors and $5 for children. All session passes will also be available on site and will cost $25 for adults and $17 for students/seniors.
 
Fans unable to make it to Salem can follow all the action on NCAA.com. The game will be broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva).  On Friday, there will also be a watch party in the Scandling Café with free popcorn for those on campus.
 
Friday's first semifinal between top-ranked Middlebury College and eighth-ranked Franklin & Marshall College will start at noon. The winners of Friday's games will advance to the national championship game Sunday at noon.
