WORCESTER, Mass.—Six members of the William Smith College rowing team were named to the 2023 National Invitational Rowing Championships All-Academic team.
To earn a spot on the NIRC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have completed one full year at their institution (first-years and first-year transfers are not eligible), maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.35 and be recognized as a varsity letter winner.

Since 2010, the William Smith rowing team has earned 70 NIRC All-Academic Awards.
Bliss, De Nes and McCall competed in the varsity eight and Baillos, Morrison and Wasner rowed with the second varsity eight. At the Liberty League Championships, the 1V placed fifth overall. The following day at the State championship, the varsity eight won the petite final, finishing seventh. The 2V brought home a second place finish from the conference championship regatta and were fourth at the state championship.
