The William Smith College field hockey team will be back in action this weekend as they host the William Smith Classic on Sept. 9-10. Saturday's contests will see the Herons take on Kean University at 10:30 a.m. followed by St. Lawrence taking on Lebanon Valley at 2 p.m. Sunday's action will begin with the Saints taking on the Cougars at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Herons taking on the Flying Dutchmen at 2 p.m.

ABOUT THE HERONS:
- William Smith enters the weekend with a 2-1 record and looks to remain perfect on McCooey Field after a 3-1 win over SUNY Geneseo on Wednesday.
- Defender Kate Barilla earned a spot on the Liberty League honor roll after playing a key role in the Herons' season-opening win over St. John Fisher.
- Forward Rebecca Mantione also earned a spot on the honor roll after producing a goal and an assist against St. John Fisher. Mantione leads the team with six points on two goals and two assists.

- Kean brings a 2-0 record into Saturday's game. On Tuesday, the Cougars defeated Arcadia University, 3-0.

- Lebanon Valley enters the weekend with a 1-2. On Wednesday, the Dutchmen fell to Gettysburg, 1-0.Â
