#14 Herons sweep Continentals

CLINTON, N.Y.—The 14th-ranked William Smith squash team cruised to a 9-0 victory over Hamilton this afternoon. The Herons won all nine points 3-0 as they completed their regular season.

MATCH SUMMARY
  • In the No. 1 spot, Rafaela Albuja Sanchez beat Eliana Good, 11-2, 11-4, 11-6. It was Albuja Sanchez's ninth straight victory. She is 10-2 on the season, playing all 12 matches in the No. 1 spot.
  • At. No. 2, Laila Selim topped Eleanor Bailey, 11-0, 116, 11-3. Selim is 8-4 in the No. 2 spot of the lineup.
  • Nathalie Sim logged her sixth straight win besting Zoe Reinert in the No. 3 spot. Sim won 11-4, 11-7, 11-4. She is 8-2 overall this season.
  • Anna O'Connor swept Lily Spencer, 11-1, 11-4, 11-1. In the fourth spot.
  • Jada Smith-Padmore won her sixth match of the season, defeating Brooke Hoffman, 11-3, 11-2, 11-2.
  • Shante Frank cruised to an 11-2, 11-3, 11-5 win in the No. 6 spot. Frank is 7-2 overall on the year.
  • Lark Ervasti lost only six points in her match in the seventh spot, defeating Lamaia Karabegovic.
  • In the No. 8 spot, Jess Finnerty defeated Lamia Karabegovic, 11-3, 11-1, 11-4.
  • Brianna Lucero closed out the match, beating Kathryn Swords, 11-3, 11-4, 11-2.
 
UP NEXT
William Smith will be back in action next weekend Feb. 9-11, when it heads to Canton, New York for the Liberty League Championships.
