Hobart-SU lacrosse game time changed

3/21/2024 3:41:00 PM

The 38th annual Kraus-Simmons Trophy game between Hobart and No. 5 Syracuse will start a little bit earlier than originally scheduled on Saturday, March 23. The Statesmen and Orange will faceoff at 3:30 p.m. on Boswell Field at Urick Stadium.

The game will be webcast live on HWS All-Access and can be tracked online with Live Stats. It will be broadcast live on WHWS-FM (105.7).

One of the longest running rivalries in collegiate lacrosse, Hobart and Syracuse will play for the 109th time in a series that began in 1916. The Statesmen won the inaugural contest on April 29, 1916, 9-1 in Syracuse. The Orange lead the series 80-26-2.

The Kraus-Simmons Trophy honors legendary National Lacrosse Hall of Fame coaches Babe Kraus '24 of Hobart and Roy Simmons Sr. of Syracuse. The Statesmen won the first Kraus-Simmons game in 1986, 16-13 on Boswell Field and claimed the trophy again in 2006 (9-8) and 2013 (13-12) with wins in the Carrier Dome.
