GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart will host 19th-ranked Saint Joseph's in an Atlantic 10 men's lacrosse showdown at noon Saturday, April 13. The Hawks will be the sixth nationally-ranked opponent the Statesmen have faced this season.

Hobart is looking to bounce back from a tough road loss to nationally-ranked Richmond last week. Graduate student
Adam Shea was 14-of-26 faceoffs and grabbed a game-high 12 ground balls for the Statesmen against the Spiders.
SJU is riding a seven-game winning streak following a 12-7 win at UMass last Saturday. Attackman Levi Anderson paced the Hawks with five points on two goals and three assists against the Minutemen.
SCOUTING THE STATESMEN
- Hobart has excelled at the faceoff X this season. The Statesmen are 11th in the nation and first in the A10 in faceoff percentage (.583). First-year Mike Valent (.592) and Shea (.582) are first and second in the league, respectively. Shea leads the A10 in ground balls per game (6.8).
- Already Hobart's career ground ball leader (386), Shea is closing in on the program's career record for faceoff wins. He enters the weekend with 614 wins on 1,100 attempts (.558). The current standard is 618 set by Matthew Pedicine '19.
- Junior Will Delano is tied for third in the nation with six extra-man goals this season.
- Senior attackman Anthony Dattellas leads the Hobart offense with 20 goals and 15 assists for 35 points. He's recorded at least one point in 21 consecutive games.
- Junior defenseman Nolan Firth has started all 10 games and leads the team with eight caused turnovers. Senior long-stick midfielder Josh Duby is right behind him with seven.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS
- SJU lost three straight to start the season, but hasn't dropped a decision since.
- The Hawks feature a smother man-down defense and a relentless ride. They are third in the nation when shorthanded, killing off 77.1% of their oppositions extra-man opportunities, and fourth in the country in opponent clearing percentage (.787).
- Goalie Tommy Gross is second in Division I in goals against average (8.56), trailing only Richmond keeper Zach Vigue.
- The trio of Anderson, Carter Page and Matt Bohmer shares the team lead with 30 points apiece. Page sports a team-best 27 goals, while Anderson has a team-high 13 assists.
- Junior defenseman Levi Verch paces SJU in ground balls (54) and caused turnovers (17).
SERIES SNAPSHOT
- Saturday's game will be the 15th between Hobart and Saint Joseph's with the Hawks holding a 9-5 series lead.
- SJU has won six in a row against the Statesmen, including four that were decided by just a single goal.
- The Hawks are making their first trip to Geneva since 2021. Each of the past three meetings between the teams have been in Philadelphia.
