The seventh-ranked William Smith lacrosse team will begin its eighth consecutive Liberty League title on Tuesday, April 30, when it welcomes St. Lawrence to Boswell Field to begin the Liberty League tournament. The first round game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

The Herons, who held at No. 7 in the IL Women/Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Poll and No. 4 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll, concluded their regular season with a 15-2 overall record and a 9-1 mark in conference play. William Smith earned the conference's No. 2 seed.

The Saints concluded their season with a 5-11 overall record and a 4-6 mark in conference play. St. Lawrence earned the seventh seed after defeating Clarkson 15-14 and RIT 14-7 last week.

Ithaca won the conference's regular season finale and earned the seven-team tournament's lone first round bye. In other first round action, third-seeded Union will host sixth-seeded Rochester at 7 p.m., and fourth-seeded Skidmore will host fifth-seeded Rensselaer at 4:30 p.m.

- Haley Sundstrom leads St. Lawrence's draw control unit with 29 and has a team-high 36 ground balls and 35 caused turnovers.
- Courtney Lynn has played every minute in goal. She has a 12.25 GAA and a .364 save percentage.
