The William Smith lacrosse team will travel to Middletown, Connecticut, Saturday, May 18, for a third round game in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. The Herons, who are ranked ninth in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association Coaches Poll, will take on Gettysburg, which is ranked sixth, at 2:30 p.m. at Wesleyan University's Smith Field.

The second-ranked Cardinals are one of four regional hosts for the weekend. Wesleyan will take on Colby, which is ranked 13th in the coaches poll, in Saturday's first game at 11:30 a.m. The winners will advance to the quarterfinals on Sunday, May 22. That game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, and $2 for children. Sales will be cash only. Fans unable to make it to Smith Field can follow the action online with the NCAA Championships Pass and live stats on Wesleyan's Athletic site. The William Smith-Gettysburg game will be broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva).
