The seventh-ranked William Smith lacrosse team will be back in action on Friday, May 3, when it welcomes Union to Boswell Field for a Liberty League Tournament semifinal contest. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

The Herons, who are the No. 2 seed in the tournament, are 16-2 overall this season. William Smith is coming off a 19-6 win over seventh-seeded St. Lawrence in the first round. Seniors

The Garnet Chargers, who are the No. 3 seed, are 11-5 overall. Union came from behind to beat sixth-seeded Rochester 18-15 in their opener. Gillian Joseph and Greta Mauer had four goals each.

Top-seeded Ithaca will host fifth-seeded RPI in the other semifinal at 4 p.m. The winners will meet on Sunday for the conference championship. The game will be played at the highest remaining seed.
