GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith squash team was defeated by 18th-ranked Bowdoin 9-0 at the Smith Squash Center this afternoon.
 
The loss drops the Herons to 0-8 on the season while the Polar Bears improve to 5-1.
 
MATCH SUMMARY

• Bowdoin had eight 3-0 sweeps.
• Despite the score, Brianna Lucero had a tightly contested match in the No. 2 spot, but was edged 11-7, 11-5, 11-4.

William Smith will hit the road to conclude the season with its final four matches coming away from the Smith Squash Center. The Herons begin the road trip on Jan. 30 when they take on Franklin and Marshall at 6 p.m.
