For the second time this season, seniors Nick Fischer and Jacob Linares were named the Liberty League Men's Doubles Team of the Week. This time, the Statesmen duo earned this recognition after an impressive showing at the 2025 ITA Cup.
 
Fischer and Linares had a standout weekend at the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia, going 2-1 and advancing to the semifinal round. The Statesmen duo opened the week's action defeating Whitman's Charles Rush and Artem Manov 7-5, 6-4, in the opening round. It was the first time in program history that a Hobart doubles team won their opening match at the ITA Cup. Fischer and Linares then went on to upset top-seeded Gage Gohl and Tyler Haddorff of Gustavus Adolphus 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinals to advance to the ITA Cup semifinal match.
 
The Statesmen duo put on a thrilling performance in the semifinals against third-ranked Henry Wilson and Sibi Raja from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Raja and Wilson took a dramatic set one 7-6 (7-5) after Fischer and Linares fought off eight set points, ultimately falling just short. The Hobart duo responded in the second set with a 7-5 win after being down 4-1 to force the match to a 10-point tiebreaker. The third-set tiebreaker went way past the 10-point mark as both teams combined to fight off eight match points. CMS would close out the tiebreaker on top 18-16 despite the Statesmen's best efforts.
 
Fischer and Linares closed out the fall season with a 7-1 record. The duo was crowned the ITA Northeast Regionals Doubles Champions as well as an ITA Cup Doubles Semifinalist. They were the first doubles team to reach the ITA Cup since Jett Wright '23 and Sean Pesin '24 qualified in 2022.
