For the third straight week, the William Smith rowing team was honored by the Liberty League. The Herons' varsity eight was tabbed the Boat of the Week following its performance at the Challenge on the Canal.
 
The boat driven by Michaela Greco, Aubrey Ryan, Kate Abdalla, Linnea Darius, Cheyenne Muldowney, Grace Jung, Raya Schwartz, Meghan Bartholomay and Olivia Helms finished first in the varsity eight race at the Challenge on the Canal. They traversed the 4,400-meter course in a time of 16:30.81. The Herons beat RIT's top boat by 48 seconds and Division I Mercyhurst by 66 seconds.
 
This was the third boat of the week award for Abdalla, Bartholomay, Darius and Ryan. Greco, Helms, Jung, Muldowney and Schwartz have been members of both V8 boats that were recognized by the league.
