The William Smith rowing team checked in at No. 10 in the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association preseason poll that was announced today.
 
The Herons return 15 of the 18 athletes that competed in the top two boats at last year's Liberty League Championships. William Smith won a gold medal in the second varsity eight and a silver medal in the varsity eight in Saratoga Springs, New York. In the fall, the Herons won a silver medal in the varsity four at the Head of the Charles Regatta. In addition, William Smith won four events at the Head of the Genesee.
 
The Herons are scheduled to begin the spring portion of their schedule on March 28, when they head to Cayuga Duals in Ithaca, New York.
