Hobart senior punter Vicente Lyon was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week presented by Scoutware. It's the fourth time in his career that he has earned the honor.
 
In Saturday's 49-17 win over St. Lawrence, Lyon punted twice, pinning the Saints inside their 20 both times while averaging 50.0 per attempt. His long of the day traveled 57 yards. Lyon leads the Liberty League in punting average (42.0 yds/p), punts inside the 20 (11) and punts of 50 yards or more (5).
 
Lyon, a 2024 D3football.com third team All-American, was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week three times last season.
 
Hobart (2-5, 1-3 Liberty) returns to action Saturday, Nov. 1, when the Statesmen visit Rochester (5-2, 2-2) for the annual Centennial Cup game. Kickoff at Fauver Stadium is scheduled for noon.
