Three Statesmen were among the final group of Liberty League Football weekly honorees announced today. Junior running back
E.J. Taylor was named the Offensive Performer of the Week, first-year safety
Blake Minsterman was the Rookie of the Week and senior linebacker
Noah Chachere earned a spot on the weekly honor roll.

The Statesmen (6-5) ended the season with a 42-14 win over SUNY Maritime in the ECAC James Lynah Bowl on Saturday.

Taylor was named MVP of the game after rushing for 172 yards and two touchdowns. He had just 19 carries in the contest, averaging an eye-popping 9.1 yards per carry against a defense that came into the game allowing just 3.79 yards per carry. His touchdowns came from 10 yards and 18 yards out, giving the Statesmen leads of 14-0 and 28-7, respectively. This was Taylor's seventh consecutive 100-yard rushing game, giving him nine for the season and 18 for his career (5 away from the Hobart career record).

Taylor finished the season with a league-leading 1,354 yards rushing, which is fifth on Hobart's single season list, and 18 rushing touchdowns, fourth best by a Statesman in a season. His 19 total touchdowns rank second on Hobart's season list.

Through 33 career games, Taylor has rushed for 2,883 yards and 33 touchdowns. He is seventh on the program's all-time rushing list for yards and eighth in touchdowns.

Minsterman made five tackles as the Hobart defense contained the Privateers in a 42-14 Statesmen victory. He and his teammates limited Maritime to 101 yards rushing in the game and just one touchdown in the opening 55 minutes.

Minsterman played in all 11 games this season, starting the final five of the year. He recorded 26 tackles, two interceptions and two breakups.

Chachere shared team-high honors with nine tackles against the Privateers. Additionally, he was credited with a tackle for loss and a pass breakup.

A starter in all 11 games, Chachere finished second on the team with 68 tackles, including 7.0 for loss and 2.0 sacks. He had two interceptions, two pass breakups and recovered a fumble. For his career, he appeared in 31 games, making 100 tackles.
