The Liberty League Champion Hobart soccer team swept the conference's men's soccer awards as announced by the league office this afternoon. Junior midfielder
La Zai Outerbridge was named the Offensive Performer of the Week, junior defender
Keegan Mulroony was tabbed the Defensive Performer of the Week and first-year midfielder
Gabe Smith was tabbed the Rookie of the Week.

The trio guided Hobart to its fifth Liberty League Championship this past weekend. In the semifinals on Friday, the Statesmen defeated Union 1-0 and on Sunday they knocked off Vassar 2-1. With the two wins, Hobart improved to 13-0-5 overall this season.

Outerbridge led the Statesmen with three points on a goal and an assist in the championship game on Sunday. He set up tournament Most Outstanding Performer
Danny Spataro's goal 31 seconds into the second half. Outerbridge then scored the game-winning goal, heading home a crossing pass from
Joe Pariano. Outerbridge has started all 18 games this season, recording six points on two goals and two assists.

Mulroony played a key role on both ends of the field this weekend. On Friday, he helped Hobart shut out Union, limiting the Garnet Chargers to just four shots, including one on goal. Sunday, Mulroony had an assist on Outerbridge's game-winning goal.

Smith had the game-winning goal in Hobart's victory over Union. It was his third goal of the season.

Hobart will begin its quest for a national championship on Thursday, Nov. 14, when it welcomes Messiah to Cozzens Field for the first round of the NCAA tournament. The game is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
