For the sixth consecutive season, the Hobart football team earned a postseason berth. The Statesmen will visit SUNY Maritime in the ECAC James Lynah Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Hobart finished the regular season 5-5 after winning its final four games of the season. The Statesmen went 4-3 in Liberty League play and lead the conference in total defense, allowing 267.9 yards per game.

Mike McGhee led the Statesmen and both earned a spot on the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll. Taylor produced his sixth consecutive 100-yard game, running for 173 yards and three touchdowns against the Bengals. McGhee produced his third double-digit tackles game of the year, logging a game-high 12 stops.

Maritime also went 5-5 this year, going 3-4 in the NEWMAC. The Privateers are looking to rebound from 23-7 loss to NEWMAC Champion Springfield over the weekend.

This will be the first ever gridiron meeting between Hobart and Maritime.

It will be Hobart's 17th postseason appearance since making the NCAA tournament field in 2000. The Statesmen are appearing in their fifth bowl game under seventh-year Head Coach
Kevin DeWall '00 and sixth bowl game overall. Hobart is 3-2 in its previous bowl appearances.
