Ten members of the Hobart football team earned All-Liberty League honors, highlighted by senior punter
Vicente Lyon earned the Liberty League Special Teams Player of the Year Award. The Statesmen had a league-high eight first team selections, one second team honoree and one player earned honorable mention.

Lyon leads the league in punting average at 42.8, more than 2 yards better than any other conference player. He also leads the league with six punts of 50+ yards. Lyon launched a 63-yard punt at Brockport, the longest by a Liberty League player this season. His current average is second on Hobart's single season list, trailing only his record setting average from last season (43.6). Lyon was named to D3football.com Team of the Week for the St. Lawrence game, averaging 50.0 yards per punt, landing both of his punts inside the Saints' 20.

A consensus All-American in 2024, Lyon has played in 29 games over three seasons, missing his sophomore year due to injury. He's averaging 41.3 yards per punt for his career. Lyon has pinned the opponent inside its 20 33 times and boomed 22 punts that covered 50 or more yards. He holds the Hobart record for longest punt with an 86 yarder in the 2024 win over Ithaca.

The Liberty League rushing leader, Taylor went over 1,000 yards for the second straight season. He finished the regular season with 1,182 yards, 11th on the Hobart single season list. Taylor is second in the league in rushing TDs with 16. He has eight 100-yard rushing games this season, including six consecutive to end the regular season. He ran for a season-high 196 yards on 28 carries (7.0 yds/att) in a 28-21 overtime win at Rochester.

The 2024 Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year, Taylor has played in 32 career games, accumulating 2,711 rushing yards, 12th on Hobart's all-time list, while his 31 career rushing touchdowns ranks ninth at Hobart.

Hobart's most productive receiver, Harding has 40 receptions for 714 yards and eight touchdowns this season. He's fifth in the league in receptions, third in receiving yards and second in receiving touchdowns. Harding, who has at least one reception in all 21 games he's played at Hobart, caught a season-high seven passes in back-to-back wins over Rochester (133 yds) and Hilbert (72 yds). He produced a season-high 142 yards on five catches at Union.

For his career, Harding has 83 receptions for 1,298 yards and 16 touchdowns. He's tied for ninth in receiving TDs and 18th in receptions and receiving yards. The 2024 Liberty League Rookie of the Year, Harding was a second team selection as a receiver and earned honorable mention as a return specialist.

Goodell, Mejias and Jeffay provided protection for the league's No. 3 offense, helping the Statesmen average 357.1 yards per game. They opened up holes for Taylor to race through as Hobart averaged 163.8 rushing yards per game. Hobart rushed for a season-high 319 yards at Hilbert. The Statesmen passed for a season-high 346 yards and a gained a season-high 550 yards of total offense against St. Lawrence.

Mejias is a three-time All-Liberty League selection, including back-to-back first team honors. Goodell and Jeffay are making their first appearances on the all-league teams.

Brosko was third on the team with 58 tackles, first with 11.5 tackles for loss, a sack, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a blocked extra point. He's second in the league in tackles for loss. Brosko logged at least three tackles in every game this year. He made a season-high nine tackles, including 1.5 for loss, at Hilbert. Brosko also blocked an extra point against the Hawks.

Brosko has appeared in 13 games for the Statesmen, registering 70 tackles, including 14.5 for loss.

A team captain, McGhee leads the league in total tackles with 92. He is 50th in the nation in tackles per game (9.2). McGhee made at least four tackles in every game this season, including a season-high 15 at Ithaca. He led the team in tackles at Union, at Rochester and vs. Buffalo State, despite wearing a cast on one arm due to a broken bone.

McGhee is the 30th player in program history with 200 career tackles. He has 226 tackles (19th all-time at Hobart), 22 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, four interceptions, 12 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries in 42 games. The three-time all-league pick was on the second team in 2024 and honorable mention in 2023.

Dixon makes his second consecutive first team appearance after recording 37 tackles, five pass breakups and an interception this season. He registered a season-high seven tackles in the win over Uitca. Dixon finished the regular season with five tackles and an interception in the win over Buffalo State.

In nine games this season, Hescock made nine receptions for 127 yards and two touchdowns. He caught two passes for a season-high 45 yards against RPI. Hescock was also an important contributor to the success of the running game as a blocker.

In 35 career games, Hescock has 27 receptions for 408 yards and four touchdowns.

Hobart went 5-5 this season, 4-3 in the Liberty League. Beset by a rash of injuries, the Statesmen started the season 1-5, but have won four in a row heading into the ECAC James Lynah Bowl at SUNY Maritime (5-5) on Saturday. Kickoff at Reinhart Field is scheduled for 1 p.m.
