#6/8 Herons host Golden Eagles in Poole Family Dome

The sixth-ranked William Smith lacrosse team continues its three-game homestand this Saturday, March 1, as it hosts Brockport for a non-conference game. The game will be played on Stiles Field at the Thomas B. Poole '61 and Family Sports Dome. The opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
Due to fire code restrictions, spectators will be limited to only those people listed on the team's pass lists. The game will be broadcast on WHWS-FM. Online coverage includes streaming video on HWS All-Access and Live Stats.
 
ABOUT THE HERONS
  • William Smith enters the weekend at 1-0 after defeating Geneseo 16-9 in their season opener.
  • Junior midfielder Natalie Daniels shined for the Herons with a team-leading seven goals.
  • Daniels set the program record for draw controls in a game with 15. She also had a game-high five CTOs.
  • Senior Katherine Murray added six points on four goals and two assists.
  • Junior Delaney Cassidy had four draw controls while junior Lily Kuhn had three CTOs.
  • Senior goaltender Maura Smeader had 10 saves in the victory.
 
ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
  • Brockport enters the weekend 0-2. The Golden Eagles were beat by Rochester 13-10 on Thursday.
  • Attacker Alayna Foos leads the team in both goals and assists. She has six goals and two assists on the season. She had a team-high four goals against the Yellowjackets.
  • Midfielder Karaline McCarthy has three goals. She leads the team with four draw controls.
  • Kaeli McCarthy has a team-high four CTOs and ground balls.
  • Arianna Reed has played every minute in net for the Golden Eagles. She enters the contest with a .538 save percentage and a 12.00 GAA.

  • Saturday's game will be the 12th meeting between the Herons and the Golden Eagles.
