CANTON, N.Y.—The Hobart Squash team finished sixth at the 2025 Liberty League Men's Squash Championship at St. Lawrence's Robbie Squash Center this past weekend. The Statesmen finished the weekend with a 1-2 record.
Hobart defeated Bard 6-1 to close out the tournament. On Saturday, the Statesmen were beaten by Denison 7-2 and Vassar 5-4.
FOR THE RECORD
AGAINST DENISON
- The Big Red three sweeps and three 3-1 victories in the match.
- Raskin Lantos defeated Tarun Mammen in the No. 2 spot. He won 11-6, 10-12, 11-3, 11-4.
- Aldana defeated Ross Falcon, 51--, 11-7, 11-3, 13-11.
AGAINST VASSAR
- Hobart posted 3-0 wins in the top four spots of the ladder, but the Brewers clinched the match with wins in the bottom five spots.
- Playing in the No. 1 spot, Raskin Lantos defeated Konstantinos Georgalides, 11-7, 11-4, 11-9. It was Raskin Lantos' 10th win of the season.
- Roberto Vega swept Jarid Haslinger, 11-7, 11-4, 11-1.
- Javier De La Vega bested Kyle Benson, 11-5, 11-7, 11-4.
- Aldana knocked off Luke Chen, 11-5, 11-3, 11-8.
- In the No. 7 spot, Patrick Looby edged John Solano, 11-7, 3-11, 8-11, 14-12, 11-8.
AGAINST BARD
- Hobart closed out the weekend against the Raptors. The Statesmen won all six of their points in 3-0 sweeps.
- De La Vega notched his fifth win of the season, beating Miguel Rodriguez, 11-7, 11-3, 11-3.
- Aldana swept Jacob Nathan, 11-2, 11-0, 11-2. It was his sixth win of the year.
- First-year Peter Vorbach bested Faisai Jones, 11-0, 11-1, 11-1. It was Vorbach's second collegiate victory.
- Tytus Felbor beat Jonas Erasmus, 11-3, 11-2, 11-2.
- Solano beat George Miahkov, 11-5, 11-5, 11-2 and Mason Graham bested Yashar Khan, 11-2, 11-0, 11-5.

Hobart will be back in action Feb. 28-March 1 when it heads to Philadephia for the College Squash Association Team Championships.
