Hobart sophomore guard
Alex Moesch was named to the Division II/Division III All-Area team as selected by the Rochester chapter of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. He led the Statesmen to a 16-10 record while averaging a team-high 12.2 points per game.

Moesch started all 26 games this year, shooting .417 from the floor, .395 from 3-point range and .761 at the free throw line. He also contributed 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Moesch made a team-high 51 3-pointers. He hit double digits in the scoring column 20 times this season, netting a season-high 18 points twice, at RPI on Nov. 19 and at home against Clarkson on Jan. 25, earning a spot on the Liberty League Weekly Honor roll following both games.

Moesch has played in 54 games during his Hobart career, averaging 11.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. He has a career field goal percentage of .442, a career 3-point percentage of .423 and a career free throw percentage of .807. Moesch has made 101 career 3-pointers, 16th on Hobart's all-time list.

The Statesmen went 10-8 in Liberty League play this year, finishing fifth in the regular season. Hobart went on the road to face No. 4 seed Union in the first round of the Liberty League Tournament, falling 83-80 on a last-second shot in overtime.
