Hobart to open A10 play at High Point

The Hobart lacrosse team will begin Atlantic 10 play with its longest road trip of the season, visiting High Point in North Carolina. The opening faceoff is set for noon on Saturday, March 29 at the Panthers' Vert Stadium.

  • Saturday will mark just the third game between Hobart and High Point.

Hobart outscored the Panthers 4-1 in the fourth quarter, trimming their deficit to 11-10 on Chad Bach's goal with 48 seconds remaining, but couldn't come up with an equalizer. Bach finished with a game-high five points (2g, 3a).

  • Graduate student Cole Emmanuel continues to rank among the national leaders at the faceoff X. His .619 winning percentage is fifth in the country, while his ground balls average (5.78) is 24th.
  • Sophomore goalie Jackson Faiola is coming off a career-high 16-save effort against St. John's. He leads the A10 in saves per game (11.71).
  • Senior Alex Rosa scored his team-leading 18th goal of the season against the Red Storm. He's sixth in the A10 in goals per game (2.0).

  • Sophomore attackman Justin Wixted leads HPU with 18 assists and 29 points. He's 18th in the nation in assists per game (2.0).
  • Classmate Owen Bunten leads the Panthers with 24 goals in eight games. He's 20th in the country in goals per game (3.0).
  • Junior faceoff specialist Luca Accardo has a winning percentage of .573 and a team-high 74 ground balls. He's fifth in the nation in ground balls per game (8.22).
