The 16th-ranked Hobart volleyball team will be back at home for the first time since March 8, as it welcomes MIT to Geneva for a crucial UVC matchup Saturday, March 29. First serve between the Statesmen and the Engineers is set for 1 p.m. in Bristol Gymnasium.

ABOUT THE STATESMEN:
- Hobart is ranked for the 11th straight week. The Statesmen also rank fourth in the Division III Region II rankings.
- The Statesmen enter the weekend with an 18-8 overall record (1-4 UVC) after falling to The Master's University 3-0 on Friday.
- Graduate student Andrew Kim leads the UVC and is ranked second in the nation in kills per set (4.56) and points per set (5.39). Kim also ranks ninth in the conference and 29th nationally in hitting percentage (.364). He has tallied 39 service aces this season and ranks 19th nationally in service aces per set (0.56).
- Sophomores Noah DeLong and Daniel Sappia add 2.41 and 2.28 kills per set, respectively. The duo has combined for 42 blocks and 37 service aces this season.
- Graduate student Benjamin Lincoln and sophomore Zack Farren have led Hobart from the setter position, averaging 5.22 and 4.76 assists per set, respectively. Lincoln ranks eighth in the UVC in that category.
- Defensively, the Statesmen are led by sophomore libero Gavin Meador's league-leading 2.79 digs per set. He ranks 26th in the nation in that category. Kim chips in 2.20 digs per set, which ranks fourth in the conference.
- First-year duo Alain Malcolm and Kian Kischke have led Hobart at the net this season, combining for 86 blocks. Malcolm has tallied 57 total blocks and ranks eighth in the conference in blocks per set (0.80), while Kischke adds 0.60 blocks per set out of the middle.
ABOUT THE ENGINEERS:
- MIT enters the weekend with a 13-12 overall record and is 0-5 in UVC play. The Engineers will take on Elmira in a conference matchup on Friday, before traveling to Geneva the following day.
- Offensively, MIT is led by Grant Oh's 4.12 kills per set, which ranks second in the conference and 10th nationally. He adds 4.72 points per set, which ranks third in the UVC and 12th nationally. Oh's .339 hitting percentage ranks 10th in the conference.
- Riley Oh leads the Engineers from the setter position, averaging a team-leading 8.81 assists per set this season. He ranks fourth in the UVC in that category.
- Kevin Windisch leads MIT defensively, averaging 1.77 digs per set which ranks eighth in the UVC.
- Maddox Brandenburg and Michael Rini have combined for 123 blocks this season. Brandenburg averages 0.85 blocks per set, which ranks sixth in the UVC, while Rini adds 0.80 blocks per set, which ranks ninth in the conference.
SERIES HISTORY:
- MIT has won both previous meetings against Hobart and holds a 2-0 edge in the series.
- Last time they met, the fourth-seeded Engineers defeated the fifth-seeded Statesmen 3-1 in the UVC quarterfinals. Kim led Hobart with 27 kills (.345), eight digs, five blocks and a service ace in the loss. Farren tallied a match-high 35 assists for the Statesmen.
