ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Hobart golf team opened its spring season as it competed at the two-day McDaniel Spring Invitational at the Bridges Golf Club this weekend. The Statesmen finished 13th out of 17 teams after shooting +71 as a team.
First-year
Robby Kurzer led Hobart, finishing tied for 42nd out of 90 golfers. Kurzer finished +16 through two rounds to lead the Statesmen. Junior
Charlie Craig and sophomore
Gavin Poyer rounded out the top three Hobart finishers, landing in a four-way tie for 51st. Both Craig and Poyer finished +18 on the weekend.
Sophomore
Casey Graham carded a 164 after two rounds, finishing tied for 59th at +20. Junior
Jake Romney landed in a tie for 74th after finishing +26 on the weekend.
UP NEXT:
The Statesmen will be back in action Tuesday, April 8, when they travel to Penn Yan, New York, to compete at the Keuka Spring Invitational. Action is set to start at 10 a.m. at Lakeside Country Club.
