ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Hobart golf team opened its spring schedule at the McDaniel Spring Invitational over the weekend. Four Statesmen finished top 15 at the two-day invitational, securing third place out of 10 teams.
First-year
Troy Gregg led Hobart with a fourth-place finish in the 36-hole invitational at The Bridges Golf Club. Gregg shot two over par and two shots off the lead after day one. In Sunday's closing round, he shot six over par, finishing the invitational at +8. Gregg's score of 152 was just four strokes behind the individual champion from Goucher.
Sophomore
Robby Kurzer carded rounds of 80 and 74 for a sixth-place finish for Hobart. First-year
Aman Dhiman and junior
Gavin Poyer both finished +16 on the weekend, tying for 13th place in the 50-golfer field.
Sophomore
Andrew Murray rounded out the Statesmen squad with a 30th place finish after finishing +26 through two rounds of action.
Salisbury won the team title, finishing 39 over par. Goucher was one stroke behind in second and was followed by Hobart at +50 to round out the top three. Stevenson (+69), McDaniel (+86), St. John Fisher (+87), Mt. St. Mary's (+88), Hood (+90), Washington College (+112) and Stevenson (+113) rounded out the field.

Hobart will be back in action April 11-12 when it travels to Ballston Spa, New York, to compete at Skidmore's Tim Brown Invitational. The two-day invitational will begin at 9 a.m. at Ballston Spa Country Club.
