The Hobart rowing was back on the water, competing in the Schuylkill Invitational in Philadelphia this afternoon. The Statesmen won four out of their nine races today competing against Marietta College, Saint Joseph's, Temple, Gonzaga, and Navy.

Although facing a tailwind and heavy tail current caused by the recent rain, Hobart fought hard in all five boats, taking advantage of the extremely fast conditions.

VARSITY EIGHT
- Hobart's 1V, which is receiving votes in the latest IRCA/IRA Varsity eight poll, was composed of Ellie Dial, Colin Mester, Charles Watroba, Lex Lauer, James Feeley IV, Jayden Dasher, Álvaro Paulin, Nicholas Short, and Sean Madden.
- During their morning race, the 1V kept a consistent pace with Marietta and Saint Joseph's in the first few meters but unfortunately fell behind.
- The Hawks won the flight, but Hobart crossed the line second with a time of 5:40.57, 12 seconds ahead of Marietta.
- In the afternoon flight, Hobart raced 18th-ranekd Temple and 24th-ranked Gonzaga securing another second place finish. The Statesmen stopped the clock at 5:25.56, two seconds ahead of Gonzaga.

SECOND VARSITY EIGHT
- The Hobart 2V8 was powered by Sam Hyman, Panagiotis Giannakopoulos, Adam Pomerantz, Chase Sneddon, Ryan Agans, Trevor Beatley, Alan Marusic, Owen O'Connor, and Aidan Vanek.
- From the start, the 2V rowed from the front of the pack. They traversed the 2,000-meter course with a time of 5:39.00. They beat Saint Joseph's by five seconds and Marietta by seven seconds.
- During the afternoon session, the 2V came up against Temple and Gonzaga. The Owls won the flight, edging out the Statesmen by almost three seconds. The Hobart boat stopped the clock at 5:31.81 in the afternoon race.

THIRD VARSITY EIGHT
- Hobart's 3V8, which was driven by Leah Henning, Bode Lonergan, Carlo Capitanucci, Sam Peeler, James Faulkner, Henry McComb, Kiré Richardson, Tibor Teleki, and Brogan Dietsche, won both of its races.
- Earning Hobart's second victory of the day, the 3V had an aggressive start to the race and used that momentum to power through the 2,000-meter race.
- The 3V stopped the clock at 5:43.40, beating Marietta by almost 14 seconds. Saint Joseph's third in the heat.
- In the afternoon, the Statesmen's 3V cruised to a near 12 second victory over Temple. Hobart stopped the clock with a time of 5:31.60.

FOURTH VARSITY EIGHT
- The 4V8 was rowed by Isabel Goldblatt-Hamilton, Nikolai Sazonov, Liam Yokanovich, Holden May, Joey Burvis, William Walker, Ryan Behar, Cayden Hill, and Mason Fairfield.
- In the morning, the 4V Statesmen started slowly but steadily got their momentum up, rowing neck and neck with Drexel and Holy Cross until 1000. In the middle of the race, Holy Cross pulled away for a nine second victory.
- Hobart crossed the line second, posting a time of 5:54.39.
- The afternoon race gave Hobart another win. The 4V8 went up against Temple University and Navy's 5V. Hobart crossed the line first, edging out Navy by a couple of seats. The Statesmen posted a time of 5:44.72.

Hobart will be back on the water next Saturday, April 19, when it heads to Worcester, Massachusetts, for the Holy Cross Invitational.
