Teck Nash was recently named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division III Region 3 All-Defensive Team.

Nash is the first Statesman to earn a spot on an ABCA All-Defensive team. He did not commit an error in 22 fielding attempts this season, recording six putouts and 16 assists. In three seasons, Nash has only had four errors in 59 career fielding attempts, posting a .918 fielding percentage.

A third team All-Liberty League selection. Nash made 10 starts this season. He threw a team-leading 64 2/3 innings this season and had a team-high 34 strikeouts. Nash finished the year ranked fifth in the nation in walks allowed per nine innings (0.84) and was 25th in strikeout-to-walk (6.17). He only walked six batters all season. Nash threw a complete game against St. Lawrence, allowing just two runs on five hits while striking out four batters. Â

Nash has appeared in 30 career games, compiling a 6-13 record with a 5.09 ERA and 86 strikeouts.

The ABCA Division III Region All-Defensive teams are voted on by members of the ABCA. The process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America and Coach of the Year Committee.

Founded in 1945, the ABCA is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 15,000 members represent all 50 states and 41 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include nine divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School, Youth and Travel.
