For the third consecutive season, Hobart has earned the American Baseball Coaches Association Academic Excellence Award. The Statesmen produced a collective 3.42 GPA during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
The award is presented to all college and high school baseball teams with a minimum 3.0 GPA. This year, nearly 500 college teams and more than 320 high school programs were recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom.
 
Individually, 16 Statesmen were named to the 2026 Liberty League All-Academic Team and three garnered Academic All-District praise from College Sports Communicators. Over the past three seasons, Hobart has received 50 All-Academic Team selections and 10 Academic All-District picks.
 
On the diamond, Head Coach Brad Cook, the ABCA Regional Coach of the Year, led Hobart to a 32-15 record, the most wins in a season in program history. The Statesmen were the runners-up in the Liberty League Tournament and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. In the Salisbury Regional, Hobart earned a pair of wins over nationally ranked Mount Union to reach the regional championship game, before falling 4-3 in 12 innings to eighth-ranked Salisbury.
