Four William Smith Herons were named to the All-Liberty League Women's Rowing Teams as announced by the conference office today. It's the most honorees for the Herons since 2014-15.

Sophomores Meghan Bartholomay and Leah Wiebe garnered first team honors. Seniors Isabella De Nes and Ava Lee earned a spot on the second team. Since the Liberty League's inaugural all-conference rowing teams were named in 2012-13, William Smith has had 30 All-Liberty League selections.

Bartholomay, Wiebe, and Lee were members of the Herons' varsity eight that nabbed silver medals at the Liberty League Championship. Lee served as coxswain with Bartholomay competing as stroke and Wiebe rowing in the fifth seat. They helped the Herons power down the 2,000-meter Fish Creek Course with a time of 7:32.617.  They also helped William Smith to a sixth place finish at the New York State Championships and a seventh place finish at the National Invitational Rowing Championships.

De Nes was the stroke seat for the 1V for the first three regattas of the spring season before she suffered an injury just before the New York State Championship. At the NIRCs, she rowed in bow seat in William Smith's 2V8, helping the Herons place second. During the fall season, De Nes was part of William Smith's varsity four that finished sixth at the Head of the Charles.

A captain, De Nes graduated with a degree in psychology, anthropology and sociology. She competed in the varsity eight all four years on campus. De Nes is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection and was named to the NIRC All-Academic squad.

Lee graduated with a degree in environmental studies and anthropology. She was the coxswain for William Smith's varsity eight in each of her four seasons.

Bartholomay is an economics major. She was also a member of the varsity eight as a first-year.
