Fifteen members of the Hobart baseball team are playing in collegiate summer leagues around the country this year. From Burlington, Vermont, to Charlotte, North Carolina and from South Bend, Indiana, to Plymouth, Massachusetts, Statesmen will be honing their game this year.
 
The first intercollegiate sport at Hobart, baseball traces its origins on campus back to the 1860s. The sport was discontinued in 1995, but returned to campus in 2023.
 
The Statesmen went 18-17 this spring, marking the program's first winning season since 1994 (27-10). The 2025 Hobart nine doubled their win total from the 2023 season.
 
The Statesmen have shown steady improvement from 2023 to 2025. Hobart has improved on its 2023 stats in each of the past two years in stolen bases, runs, walks, ERA, walks allowed strikeouts and fielding percentage.
