The William Smith soccer team will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 24, when it heads to Rochester Institute of Technology. The Herons' Liberty League opener is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
 
William Smith enters the week with a 4-1-2 record after a scoreless draw against Rochester on Saturday. Junior Antonia Goerke made a career-high eight saves as she earned the shutout.
 
RIT is 4-0-3 overall and is 1-0-0 in Liberty League play. The Tigers beat Clarkson 2-0 on Saturday. Jillian Antol scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 51st minute. Emily Sanchez made four saves as she earned the shutout.

ABOUT THE HERONS

• Senior Julia Accioly leads the team with 10 points on four goals and two assists.
• Fellow seniors Ruth Hotaling and Julia Bragg also have four goals each.
• Six Herons share the team lead in assists with two each.
