The William Smith squash team concluded its trip through Maine with matches against 18th-ranked Bowdoin and 24th-ranked Bates. On Friday, the Polar Bears beat the Herons 9-0. This morning, the Bobcats won 8-1.

The Herons have faced six nationally-ranked opponents in their first seven matches of the 2025-26 season.

AGAINST THE POLAR BEARS
- Bowdoin won eight of their nine points in 3-0 sweeps in front of a good crowd full of Bowdoin supporters.
- Senior Jada Smith-Padmore took a game from the Polar Bear's Linley Grosman, but was edged 11-9, 11-7, 13-15, 11-3.  Â

AGAINST THE BOBCATS
- Playing in the No. 9 spot, Amalia Clemente earned William Smith's point in a 3-0 sweep. She beat Andrea Perez, 11-1, 11-2, 11-1.
- In the No. 2 spot, Jess Finnerty put up a strong fight but was defeated 11-7, 9-11, 11-6, 11-.
- Despite being swept, Sadie Sanchez battled tough in the No. 7 spot. She was edged by Zoe Schaedle, 11-8, 11-6, 12-10.
- Bates had seven 3-0 seeps in the match.
