Hobart's Aman Dhiman is ranked third in the NCAA Division III Region II golfers' rankings following the conclusion of the fall season. Additionally, Dhiman lands at No. 99 in the latest national rankings.
"Aman has proven he can compete with the best in the nation," said Head Coach Mike Long. "Being ranked third is a great accomplishment, but knowing his mindset and drive, I believe there's still more to come. He's a big part of what we're building at Hobart!"
The sophomore from Kingston, Jamaica, led Hobart with a 72.01 stroke average through eight rounds of golf this fall. Dhiman finished top 10 in three of four invitationals this fall, including a first-place finish at the Skidmore Fall Invitational. He led the Statesmen to an eighth-place finish at the two-day tournament; finishing tied for first out of 112 golfers. Dhiman delivered an impressive final-round performance, shooting five under par to secure individual medalist honors.
Additionally, Dhiman finished sixth at the two-day St. Lawrence Fall Invitational and tied for fourth at the Farmingdale State Cangero Invitational. He was 26th at the Northeast Elite Invitational before clinching the win at the Skidmore Fall Invite.
Dhiman's second collegiate win led to his first career Liberty League Performer of the Week award, adding to his impressive collegiate resume. After a successful rookie season, Dhiman was named to the GCAA All-Region team as well as the Liberty League Rookie of the Year. He was also selected to the All-Liberty League first team after finishing fourth at the Liberty League Championships. Dhiman was just the second Statesman in program history to be selected to the all-region team. He was also the second Statesman in program history to be named the Liberty League Rookie of the Year. Dhiman was the third Hobart player to be named to the Liberty League first team in program history and the first since Drew Slocum '06 earned first team honors in 2006
