OSWEGO, N.Y.—Two Statesmen finished top 10 as the Hobart golf team secured sixth place out of 12 teams at the SUNY Oswego Fall Invite this weekend. The Statesmen finished +50 as a team through two rounds at Oswego Country Club, landing in sixth place in the team standings.

First-year duo Frankie Dawson and Cole Brown led Hobart this weekend, finishing in the top 10 out of 60 golfers in their collegiate debuts. Dawson finished in fourth place after finishing +7 through two rounds of golf. On Day 1, Dawson was seven over par but followed that up with a big performance on Sunday, finishing even with par to finish seven over through 36 holes to secure fourth. Brown finished in a tie for 10th after shooting +11 on the weekend. He carded a 76 on Day 1 and a 77 on Day 2 to secure 10th place.

First-year Dylan Johnson followed closely behind, tying for 16th in the standings after finishing +13 through two rounds. Johnson had a five-stroke improvement on Day 2 of the invitational, moving up 10 spots in the individual standings. Sophomore Alexander Enslein added a 36th place finish after finishing +20 on the weekend. Senior Casey Graham rounded out the Statesmen squad, securing 41st place after finishing +22 on the weekend.

Nazareth won the team title, finishing 32 over par as a team, while Clarkson and SUNY Oswego (B) finished in a tie for second at +45. Oswego's Tyce Helmick was the invitational's individual medalist after finishing even through two rounds of golf. Nazareth's Jason Clifton finished in second, one stroke behind Helmick.
