WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.— Sophomore
Ben Bush led the Hobart golf team at the Northeast Elite Invitational with a top 10 finish this weekend. The Statesmen finished tied for 10th out of 18 teams in the team standings after combining for +38 at the two-day event.
Bush and
Aman Dhiman paced Hobart at Williamsport Country Club, finishing four and nine over par, respectively. Bush landed in a tie for 10th after finishing two over par each day, while Dhiman tied for 26th in the 90-golfer field.
Junior
Robby Kurzer finished tied for 35th at +11 on the par-71 course and senior
Gavin Poyer finished the weekend +14, tying for 59th. Junior
Andrew Murray concluded the weekend at +21, securing 86th place. Murray saw a five-stroke improvement on Day 2 of the invitational after finishing +13 on Day 1.
Penn State Altoona won the team title, finishing 10 over par as a team while Gettysburg secured second with a team score of +21 through two rounds. Franklin & Marshall rounded out the top three, finishing three strokes behind Gettysburg at +24. Penn State Altoona's Max Mottura was the individual medalist at the event, finishing two under par through 36 holes.

Hobart will be back in action Oct. 10-11, when it travels to Saratoga Springs, New York, for the Skidmore Fall Invitational. The two-day event will start at 10 a.m. at the Saratoga Spa Golf Course.
