Hobart-Colgate game moved to Poole Family Dome

GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart lacrosse game at Colgate has been moved to the Poole Family Dome in Geneva due to the winter weather. The Statesmen and the Raiders will meet for the 71st time Saturday, Feb. 14 at noon.
 
Spectator seating in the Poole Family Dome is limited due to fire code. Only fans on the teams' pass lists will be admitted.
 
The game will be streamed on HWS All-Access and broadcast live on WHWS-FM (105.7).
 
ABOUT THE STATESMEN
  • Hobart (1-0) opened its season with a 13-8 win over Canisius last Saturday.
  • Senior Connor DiTomasso and sophomore Daniel Cano led the offense with four points each. DiTomasso had two goals and two assists, while Cano scored three goals with an assist.
  • First-year goalie Michael Johnson was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after making 14 saves in his collegiate debut.
  • Senior Seamus Schofield won 10-of-15 faceoffs and grabbed a game-high seven ground balls.
  • First-year defenseman Colman Craft played a key role in a relentless Hobart ride, causing five Canisius turnovers. The Golden Griffins cleared at just 52.4% for the game.
 
ABOUT THE RAIDERS
  • Colgate (0-2) will be playing its third straight road game following tough losses at then No. 7 Penn State 18-14 and then No. 14 Virginia 19-14.
  • Sophomore attackman Freddy Fowler leads the team with four assists and nine points. Classmate Casey Quinn has a team-high seven goals.
  • Junior defenseman John Carrabine paces the Raiders with 14 ground balls and three caused turnovers. He posted 10 ground balls and two caused turnovers last week against the Cavaliers.
  • Sophomore goalie Andrew Lehrman has started both games in goal, making 28 saves, including 15 against the Nittany Lions.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Hobart leads the all-time series 54-14-2, including a 16-6 lead in the program's Division I era.
  • Colgate won the most recent meeting 16-11 on Feb. 11, 2024. The Raiders took control of the game with a 6-1 first quarter and never looked back.
