CANTON, N.Y.—The William Smith squash team dropped a hard-fought battle with 21st-ranked St. Lawrence 6-3 at the Robbie Squash Center this afternoon.
This was William Smith's 11th match against a team ranked in the top 25 this season.
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Senior Jada Smith-Padmore rallied from two games down to claim a win in the No. 1 spot against Mariam Dodd. Smith-Padmore won, 5-11, 10-12, 11-8, 11-5, 11-4. It was her fifth win of the season.
- First-year Amalia Clemente also won in five games in the No. 8 spot. She beat Alexandra Lilly Bell-Ritchie, 7-11, 11-3, 9-11, 11-6, 11-9. It was Clemente's second career win.
- St. Lawrence won all six of its points in 3-0 sweeps.

William Smith will be back in action next weekend, Feb. 27-March 1, when it heads to Philadelphia for the CSA Divisional Championships.
