For the second time this season, first-year Harry Fromberg was named the United Volleyball Conference's Co-Rookie of the Week. This week he shared the award with Vassar's Carroll Jenkins.

The Statesmen, who were receiving votes in last week's AVCA national poll, defeated St. John Fisher 3-1 on Saturday, securing their second conference win of the season. Hobart is now 8-9 on the season, with a 2-0 mark in conference play.

Fromberg was one of four Statesmen who put down double-digit kills in the crucial conference victory. He recorded 10 kills, hitting .250, and added three digs, one block and one service ace. Through four sets, Fromberg averaged 2.50 kills per set, 0.25 service aces per set, 0.75 digs per set and 2.88 points per set.

The Bridgewater, New Jersey, native has had an impressive start to his rookie season for Hobart. Through 16 matches, Fromberg averages 2.17 kills per set, 0.63 digs per set, 0.41 blocks per set and 2.46 points per set. He has tallied double-digit kills in seven matches, including each of the last four.

Hobart will be back in action Wednesday, March 4, when it hosts Nazareth (9-9, 0-1 UVC) for another crucial conference matchup. First serve between the Statesmen and the Golden Flyers is set for 7 p.m. in Bristol Gymnasium.
