#7 William Smith, Ithaca renew rivalry

The seventh-ranked William Smith lacrosse team and Ithaca will renew their rivalry tomorrow, April 8, when the two teams square off at Higgins Stadium in Ithaca, New York. The opening draw is set for 4 p.m.
 
The Herons are 10-1 with a 6-0 mark in Liberty League play. William Smith has won five straight games entering Wednesday's contest.
 
The Bombers are 8-3 with a 5-2 mark in league play. Ithaca won both of its games last weekend, beating Bard 22-1 and Vassar 18-6.

ABOUT THE HERONS
  • William Smith is led offensively by junior Mia Falco's 32 points on 14 goals and a team-high 18 assists.
  • Senior Taryn Luzi has a team-high 27 goals, while junior Grace Rund is right behind her with 22 goals.

  • Lily Cody follows close behind, leading the team with 31 goals. She is second with 46 points. Cody also leads in draw controls (79), caused turnovers (18) and ground balls (24). She is 11th in the nation in draw controls per game.
  • Kelly Augeri is the third Bomber with 40-plus points. She has 26 goals and 17 assists.
  • Pheobe Hosford paces the defense with 17 caused turnovers and 24 ground balls.
  • Mikaela Dattilo has the edge in minutes played in goal. She is 8-3 with an 11.47 GAA and a .376 save percentage.
  • The Bombers are right behind William Smith, averaging 15 draw controls per game, 18th in the nation.
