William Smith's five first team selections were the most of anyone in the empire region. It matches the program record for first team selections, joining the 1989, 1994 and 1999 teams, which also had five. Including this season's honors, the Herons have earned 98 all-region awards.Â

Falco earns all-region accolades for the first time. She led the Herons with 30 assists and 58 points. Falco was also a threat to score, finishing the year with 28 goals. She logged at least one point in 19 of the 20 games this season. Falco had a season-high seven points on two goals and five assists in the season opener. She also had six points on three goals and three assists at Clarkson.

A two-year starter, Falco has played in 38 games at William Smith. She has 107 points on 57 goals and 50 assists. Including her time at Furman, Falco has 116 career points.

Grottenthaler also earns all-region accolades for the first time. The Corning, New York, native finished the year with 40 points on 36 goals and four assists. Grottenthaler was second on the team in goals. A two-way midfielder, she was also second on the team with 50 draw controls and added 13 caused turnovers and 23 ground balls. Grottenthaler had a season-high four goals against Salisbury, Rochester and Ithaca. In her William Smith debut, she had a hat trick, including the game-winning goal against Hamilton. She had at least one point in every game this season.

A transfer from Youngstown State, Grottenthaler has 110 points on 96 goals and 14 assists. Grottenthaler has recorded at least one point in 38 straight games.

Rund nabbed her first all-region recognition following her first season in Geneva. She played in all 20 games, starting 19. She was third on the team with 34 goals. A draw wizard, Rund led the Herons with 112 draw controls, finishing second on William Smith's single-season list. She won 13 draws in her Heron debut and then won 13 against Ithaca. A Rochester native, Rund had a season-high four goals when the Herons defeated RIT and then added a hat trick at Rochester.

Also a transfer from Youngstown State, Rund has 76 points on 72 goals and four assists. She has 175 draw controls. Her 112 draw controls this season are already ninth on the Herons' career list.

Sypeck earns All-Empire Region first team honors for the second time. She was also named to the first team following her rookie season. The 2026 Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year, Sypeck started 18 games this season. She led the Herons with 46 caused turnovers, second on William Smith's single-season list, and 43 ground balls. Sypeck had a season-high five caused turnovers against Hamilton and recorded four or more caused turnovers in a game seven times. She logged a season-high five ground balls against Ithaca.

A three-year starter, Sypeck has played in 60 career games. Her 99 caused turnovers is fourth on the Herons' career list. She also has 97 ground balls.

Fiore started all 20 games in goal for William Smith this season. A first time all-region recipient, she was 17-3 with a 7.07 GAA and a .463 save percentage. Fiore made a season-high 11 saves against Salisbury and made eight or more saves in a game seven times. Fiore also added three caused turnovers and 23 ground balls. Fiore's 17 wins this season are fifth on William Smith's single-season list.

A transfer from Hamilton, Fiore played in 55 career games. She finished her career with an 8.61 GAA and a .426 save percentage.

William Smith finished the season with a 17-3 record. The Herons went 10-0 in the Liberty League and captured the conference's regular season and tournament titles. William Smith made its 10th straight trip to the NCAA tournament, advancing to the second round.
