5/19/2026 12:01:00 PM

Senior Haley Levine of the William Smith tennis team was named an All-Liberty League singles honorable mention selection, the conference office announced this afternoon. Levine's all-conference selection was the first of the Head Coach Emme Levenson era and the first for the Herons since the 2022-23 season.

Levine earned the second all-conference selection of her career after being named an All-Liberty League doubles honorable mention in her rookie season. She posted a 12-13 overall record this season, including a 9-8 record in dual matches. Levine primarily played in the No. 2 spot, posting a 7-6 record. She also added a 2-2 record in the top spot for William Smith. Levine was 3-5 in conference play and played a key role in both the singles and doubles lineup the Herons.

The Santa Barbara, California, native, was a successful two-sport athlete at William Smith, competing for both the Heron tennis and Heron swimming and diving team. On the court, Levine compiled a 34-55 record in singles and a 36-49 doubles record. She was named to the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll twice in her career and earned a spot on the Liberty League All-Academic team three times. Levine was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete twice as well as to the CSC Academic All-District team twice.

Levine concluded her collegiate career with the Mary Hosking Tennis Award as well as the Cynthia Oyler '93 Award at the 2026 William Smith Athletic Department's Heron Awards. She was most recently named one of three finalists for the prestigious ITA Ann Lebedeff Leadership Award, which is endowed by tennis legend Billie Jean King. The honor is one of the highest distinctions in all of college tennis, spanning all three NCAA divisions.

William Smith concluded its season with an 8-11 overall record, including a 3-5 record in conference play. The Herons clinched a spot in the Liberty League Tournament for the first time since 2019, where they ultimately fell to third-seeded St. Lawrence.
