The Hobart tennis team will travel to Saratoga Springs, New York for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Men's Northeast Regional Championships this weekend, Sept. 25-27, at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center.

The singles brackets will feature 80 players, while the doubles bracket has 48 teams. The singles and doubles champions, as well as the runners-up, will compete in the ITA Cup, the small college national championships, in Rome, Georgia, Oct. 15-18.

Six Statesmen will represent Hobart this weekend. Senior Achilleas Kousaridis, sophomore Michael Georgelis and first-year Dylan Ortiz will play in the A Flight singles bracket, while sophomores Tejus Ranadive and Everett Reid are on the alternate list. If Ranadive and Reid don't get pulled into Flight A bracket, they will play in the B draw. Kousaridis and Reid as well as Ortiz and Ranadive will play in the A Flight doubles bracket, while Georgelis joins first-year Kato Tsang in the B Flight doubles bracket.

At this years St. Lawrence University Classic, Georgelis and Kousaridis both advanced to the A Flight Singles semifinals, while Ranadive represented the Statesmen in B Flight and also advanced to the semifinals. In doubles play, Kousaridis and Reid went 1-1 but were edged by an Ithaca duo in the quarterfinals of A Flight. Ranadive and Ortiz also advanced to the Flight A quarterfinal but fell to a St. Lawrence team in their second match.

At last seasons ITA Northeast Regionals, Nick Fischer '26 and Jacob Linares '26 went a perfect 5-0 on their way to winning the Northeast Regional Championship. Georgelis and Ranadive competed in the doubles main draw, going 1-1, while Georgelis and Kousaridis competed in the main singles draw.
