Hobart soccer junior forward Brady Leitner was named the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week by the conference office today.
 
Leitner had four of the Statesmen's six goals in a 2-0-0 week in league play. In Wednesday's 4-1 win at RIT, he scored three minutes into the second half to tie the game. Leitner then put the exclamation point on the victory, scoring Hobart's fourth goal of the game. Saturday against Bard, Leitner again scored twice as the Statesmen rallied for a 2-1 win. He tied the game in the 23rd minute, collecting a long pass from senior Quinn Phillips and chipping a shot past the goalie. Leitner then won the game in the 73rd minute, heading home a Phillips corner kick.
 
Leitner has started all nine games this season. He leads Hobart and is 29th in the nation with six goals. Leitner's two game-winning goals are 32nd in the nation.
 
Hobart (8-1-0, 2-1-0) will continue its four-game homestand this weekend, Oct. 3-4, when it welcomes Clarkson and 10th-ranked Cortland to Cozzens Field for a pair of 2 p.m. games. The contests will coincide with HWS' Homecoming and Family Weekend.
