Herons split on Day 1 of Wesleyan Round Robin

MIDDLETOWN, Conn.—The William Smith College squash team split its first two matches of the Wesleyan Round Robin today, moving to 3-2 on the season. The Herons fell to Middlebury 9-0 this morning, before rebounding with a 6-3 victory over Connecticut College.

Leading William Smith past the Camels was Katie Mullen (Sacred Heart/Rye, N.Y.) at No. 4, Alexa Comstock (Tabor Academy/Essex, Conn.) at No. 5, Megan Peterson (Kent School/Stamford, Conn.) at No. 6, Ali Haseotes at No. 7, Emily Hazenberg (Pomfret/New York, N.Y.) at No. 8, and Eliza Braendel (The Hill School/Chester Springs, Md.) at No. 9. All six defeated their opponents 3-0.

The Herons will be in action again tomorrow, Dec. 7, when they take on Columbia at 8 a.m. and Mt. Holyoke at 11 a.m. on Day 2 of the round robin.
