CANTON, N.Y.—Third seeded St. Lawrence defeated fourth seeded Hobart, 9-0, in the third place match of the Liberty League Tournament. The loss drops the Statesmen to 8-13, while the Saints, ranked 16th in the ITA Northeast Region, improve to 10-6.

Hobart put up a strong fight in the doubles matches, but St. Lawrence prevailed in all three 8-6. In singles play, the Saints were at the top of their game, winning five of the six matches in straight sets.

The Statesmen wrap up their season on April 21, when they visit RIT at 4 p.m.
