AMHERST, Mass.—The William Smith College squash team posted a 1-2 record on Day 1 of the Mt. Holyoke/Smith Round Robin. The Herons fell to Amherst 7-2 this morning, rebounded with a 9-0 win over Wellesley, and finished the day with a close 5-4 defeat to Franklin & Marshall. William Smith now holds a 5-5 overall record.

Medora Hartz (Mercersburg Academy/Orlean, Va.), and junior
Sarah Hallberg (Tabor Academy/Fairmont, W.Va.) all recorded two wins for William Smith today, playing at No. 3, No. 4, No. 6, and No. 9, respectively.
The Herons will be in action again tomorrow, Jan. 25, when they take on Colby and Wesleyan at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Day 2 of the round robin.
