Amanda Davis were named the ECAC Upstate Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, after guiding the fourth-ranked Heron soccer team to two double-overtime wins last week. Both were honored with Liberty League weekly awards as well.
Nasypany leads the team with five goals, and ranks second in the conference with four game-winners, after scoring both deciding goals for William Smith last week. She tallied in the 109th minute to defeat then seventh-ranked Ithaca 1-0 on Sept. 30, and gave the Herons the 1-0 win in the 110th minute of action at Hamilton on Oct. 3.
Davis extended her shutout streak to 668:55 minutes, spanning over William Smith's last seven games, after picking up a career-high 10 saves vs. the Bombers and collecting four stops against the Continentals. She leads the Liberty League with seven shutouts, and ranks 17th in the nation in save percentage (.909) and 18¬th in goals against average (0.376). This is the second week in a row Davis has been recognized by the ECAC.
