The Hobart College tennis team lost to Hamilton College 9-0 tonight at Bristol Field House. The Statesmen dropped to 2-13 on the year, while the Continentals improved to 2-6 overall.
First-year
Kevin Kent (Trinity-Pawling/New York, N.Y.) and sophomore
Harry King (Concord & Carlisle/Concord, Mass.) fell to Greg Kreitzer and Drew Libin at first doubles by the slightest of margins, 9-8. Kent went on to play Kreitzer in the first singles match, with Kreitzer prevailing 7-5, 6-2.
Senior
Adam Cohn (Hawken School/Highland Heights, Ohio) took on Pete Erwin at No. 4 singles. After dropping the first set 6-0, Cohn battled back to take the second set 6-4. Erwin eventually edged Cohn 10-8 in the tiebreaker.
The Statesmen will be back in action on April 11, when they travel to St. Lawrence for a match at 1 p.m.
